about

Everyone falls in love. Sometimes when they shouldn't. In his newest EP "The Monotony Monopoly", Cody England goes through the emotions of an impossible crush. The desire, sadness, love sickness, realization/healing, and hope for the future all wrapped respectively in their own short song.
"The Monotony Monopoly" unlike "The Metal Man from Hamburger Land" always has a real song structure, and is much more lyrically driven. This is most apparent in the songs "The Park Bench" and "All in My Head". The latter being Cody's personal favorite on the EP. Like "The Metal Man from Hamburger Land", This release has a lo-fi electronic sort of feel to it. However "The Monotony Monopoly" has a more refined sound, using mostly sounds from Cody's aging GEM home organ, and having been recorded with better equipment.

For an old friend and crush. We both found our happiness.
A special thanks to my wonderful friend Nico Stoddard, for always supporting me and being there to talk.
